Very friendly young gentleman showed us where are room was.
It would be helpful if someone offered us assistance with our luggage, carrying up the stairs. Also, after driving all day it would have been nice to have been offered something to eat.

The hotel and cottages were peaceful ,set in attractive, well cared for mature gardens. The cottages provided plenty of space, were clean and well equipped. Guests in the cottages could access the facilities of the hotel but I cannot comment on these as we did not do so. After a day's walking/sightseeing, we were content to stay in with a simple home-cooked supper and the Scrabble board (not supplied) or books. There were incidentally, two televisions in the cottage but no radio. I would definitely stay in these cottages again and recommend them.
The only disadvantage we encountered was when we needed to make a phone call one evening; there were no mobile phone signals and we were unable to access an outside line and got no response from the hotel Reception on our phone in the cottage.

Gellifawr has a beautiful location and grounds, just idyllic. It is a perfect location for anyone wanting to walk the Pembs coastpath, quiet away from it all. No mobile phones. Beautiful.
The mattress was very firm for my liking and the skylight blind wouldn't close-hence we were awake with the birds.

It was a lovely property in a beautiful location. The staff were friendly and did their best to make us comfortable in the difficult circumstances set out below. The restaurant was first class, with excellently prepared food and polite, unobtrusive service.
We booked the executive suite as it was advertised as being a large room with better facilities than their normal rooms, and to that extent it was true. However it was situated above the bar and the front door. Although rectified following our complaint the door banged loudly every time it was used due to an incorrectly adjusted door closer. It was a shame that this required a complaint to get it fixed. We thought the discomfort it created was obvious. Also, and more seriously, the bar was open till 2.00am on the night we stayed and very raucous. I got the impression this was not unusual. At 12.00 midnight we were obliged to decamp to another (non-executive) room in order to get some sleep. It was regrettable because it spoiled the overall experience. We chose the location deliberately as we had had a long day travelling and wanted somewhere quiet. Had we known it would be as it was we would not have booked this hotel.

Very helpful and friendly staff, good food and pleasant bar area. A liitle secluded if you want to walk to a town (you can't) but the hotel offers everything you need for eating, drinking and relaxing.

Stayed in one of the holiday cottages within the grounds of hotel. Well equipped, clean and comfortable. Plenty of nice, fuffy towels, cosy beds, with plenty of wardrobe space in each room. Nice location with lovely walks nearby.
Unfortunately stayed at the same time as a couple of families who had a lot children between them and who were allowed to run riot around the area until about midnight, ruining the tranquility of the setting for everybody else!

Beautiful hotel in breathtaking location, very comfortable and clean rooms.
Although servis is very poor, staff does'nt know how to serve and care about customers. So lovely for the stay but terrible service. Breakfast reheated in the microwave oven did'nt help it at all.
